Seat Alhambra Electrical Fault Navigation Failure

I'm stumped. My 2010 Seat Alhambra with a gasoline engine is throwing me for a loop. Error stored in the error memory, general electrical malfunction, and the navigation system is completely dead. I suspect a software malfunction, maybe ECU problems. Any ideas before I shell out cash?

Faulty software in modern cars is a pain. Does the onboard diagnostics give you any specific error codes related to the navigation system or the general electrical malfunction? Have you tried a simple system reset by disconnecting the battery for a short while?

The onboard diagnostics throws a generic error. Disconnecting the battery didn't help. Could an implausible programming of the control unit really cause all these issues?

An implausible programming of the control unit could definitely be the culprit, especially with those symptoms. I've seen similar ECU problems before, and they can cause all sorts of bizarre behavior. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop equipped to diagnose and reprogram the ECU. Sounds like a proper software reset is needed.

Took it to the shop. They confirmed the ECU problems and did a software reset. Seems to have fixed the software bug. Cost me 240€. Thanks for the help.
