Seat Alhambra engine power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Seat Alhambra is experiencing engine power loss and a check engine light, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve, accelerator pedal module, or internal electronics. The issue also affects fuel efficiency. A similar case suggested the throttle body as the cause, with symptoms like rough idling and related error codes. Diagnosis confirmed the throttle valve as the problem, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Air flow hasn't been checked directly. When yours had this issue, did engine idling fluctuate too? And were there any other codes besides the check engine light?

Yes, the engine idling was rough. It's likely the throttle body. The computer probably threw a code related to air flow and throttle position. I'd suggest getting it diagnosed properly. The shop should be able to confirm it.

Took the Alhambra to the workshop. You were right, it was the throttle valve. They replaced it for 265€. Runs like new again. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like the throttle body. I had similar issues with my Alhambra: check engine light, loss of power, poor fuel efficiency. Has the air flow been checked?
