Seat Alhambra Fault Memory Lock
Summary of the thread
The issue with the Seat Alhambra was a 'Fault memory lock active' error, likely caused by undervoltage. This was suspected to be due to a drained battery and subsequent jump-start. The recommended solution was to visit a workshop to check the control unit. The workshop confirmed the undervoltage, addressed the issue, and reset the control unit, resolving the problem.

Regarding electrical issues, the car battery was completely drained a week prior. I jump-started it. Could this undervoltage be the cause of the fault memory lock now? What should I do next?

Yes, jump-starting a car can sometimes cause undervoltage issues that trigger the fault memory lock. In my experience, it is best to visit a workshop to get the control unit checked.

Thank you for confirming this. Following your recommendation, I took the Alhambra to a workshop. Automotive diagnostics confirmed undervoltage. The control unit's active memory was indeed locked due to this. Repair involved addressing the undervoltage issue and resetting the control unit. Total cost was 240€. Problem solved.

I also own an Alhambra. I seem to recall having a similar issue a while back. Was there anything unusual happening with the car's electrical system before the error occurred? Did you notice any other fault codes?
