Seat Alhambra Fault Memory Lock

I am writing to inquire about a problem with my Seat Alhambra, built in 2007, gasoline engine. The automotive diagnostics system indicates 'Fault memory lock active,' with an error stored in the error memory. From what I've researched, the likely cause is undervoltage in the vehicle. Has anyone encountered this? What steps should I take?

I also own an Alhambra. I seem to recall having a similar issue a while back. Was there anything unusual happening with the car's electrical system before the error occurred? Did you notice any other fault codes?

Regarding electrical issues, the car battery was completely drained a week prior. I jump-started it. Could this undervoltage be the cause of the fault memory lock now? What should I do next?

Yes, jump-starting a car can sometimes cause undervoltage issues that trigger the fault memory lock. In my experience, it is best to visit a workshop to get the control unit checked.

Thank you for confirming this. Following your recommendation, I took the Alhambra to a workshop. Automotive diagnostics confirmed undervoltage. The control unit's active memory was indeed locked due to this. Repair involved addressing the undervoltage issue and resetting the control unit. Total cost was 240€. Problem solved.
