Seat Alhambra Fuel Consumption and Starting Problems

I haven't checked for error codes myself, but I was wondering, if it is the throttle body needing a clean, wouldn't that usually cause rough engine idle as well? I haven't noticed any issues with that. Could it still be the throttle valve even without the rough idle?

You know, you're right about the engine idle. If it's smooth, the throttle body might not be the main issue. A defective accelerator pedal module could definitely cause those symptoms though. Maybe get it properly diagnosed? It sounds like you're on the right track, but a workshop visit could save you some guessing. I would get it checked out by a professional.

Just to let you know, the accelerator pedal module was indeed faulty, as I thought. I got it replaced, and the car is running much better now. Fuel consumption seems to be back to normal, and it starts without any issues. Total cost was around 205€. Thanks for the help!

Hmm, that's odd. Higher fuel consumption and poor starting could be a few things. Have you checked for any error codes? It's possible it's the throttle body needing a clean, but I'm not entirely sure.
