Seat Alhambra Keyless Entry Problem

I am experiencing issues with my Seat Alhambra, built in 2000, gasoline engine, mileage 96214 km. I am getting a low key battery warning. The keyless access is no longer functional, and there's an error stored in the error memory. Unlocking and locking the car is unreliable. Is the likely cause really just a low voltage battery in the car key?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Alhambra. I suspect the fob battery is the culprit. Have you tried replacing it?

Yes, I had the same symptoms: error messages and unreliable keyless entry. Replacing the battery fixed it. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, the workshop can handle it.

I changed the car key battery as suggested. Everything is working now, keyless entry is back. The car workshop charged me 37€ for the replacement. Thanks for the help.
