Seat Alhambra MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Seat Alhambra developed a MOST bus fault at 140,590 km, causing the audio system and navigation to fail, with numerous related error codes. The suspected cause was a defective control unit on the MOST bus. A similar issue was resolved by having a professional workshop diagnose and identify the faulty unit using specialized equipment. The problem was confirmed and resolved by replacing the defective control unit.

How did you pinpoint which control unit was the problem?

It was a process of elimination. I couldn't do it myself, I don't have the equipment for in-depth car diagnostics or knowledge of the automotive protocol. A workshop diagnosed it, they used equipment to identify the defective unit by monitoring data transmission on the bus system. It's probably worth getting it checked professionally, that bus system is complex.

Ok, thanks for the input. I took it to a local shop with good car diagnostics knowledge. Turns out a control unit on the MOST bus was faulty, exactly as suspected. Cost me about 1000€ to get it sorted.

I had a similar problem with my Seat Alhambra. No sound, navigation dead, and a stack of error codes. For me, it was also related to the MOST bus system. Have you checked the individual control units connected to the bus?
