Seat Alhambra Oil Pressure Warning

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't noticed any strange noises, but I'm not really mechanically inclined, so I might not notice them anyway. I checked the oil level, and it seems fine, but the color is darker than I remember. The last oil change… I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. Is there anything specific I should be looking for regarding the oil sludge? I have heard of oil additives, do you think it would solve my issue?

Okay, the darker oil color and uncertainty about the last oil change point towards a likely maintenance issue. I really wouldn't recommend using any oil additives at this stage, as they could potentially worsen the situation. Given the oil pressure warning, it's best not to drive it more than necessary. It is difficult to asses the issue without seeing the vehicle myself, but I advise you to take the car to a workshop as soon as possible.

I wanted to let you know that I took your advice and brought my Alhambra to the workshop. It turns out the oil change was overdue, as you suspected. They changed the oil, and the warning light is now off. The final bill was 165€, which included the oil and filter. Thanks again for your help!

That oil pressure warning light is definitely concerning. It sounds like your Alhambra might be experiencing oil sludge issues, potentially due to exceeding the maintenance interval. Have you noticed any unusual engine noises? It's hard to say for sure without looking at the engine oil itself, but I would definitely advise checking the oil level and color as a first step. When was the last oil change?
