Seat Alhambra Overheating Issues

I need some help. My 2018 Seat Alhambra with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The engine's been overheating like crazy and the check engine light popped on. Mileage is at 153570 km. I suspect it's the radiator fan but I am not sure. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Seat Alhambra with a gasoline engine is experiencing overheating issues, accompanied by a check engine light. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning radiator fan, indicated by unusually loud fan noise. The problem was resolved by replacing a faulty speed sensor, which was interfering with temperature control.

Sounds familiar! I've got an Alhambra too and had a similar car overheating drama. Was the fan noise crazy loud? Mine sounded like a jet engine before I had it looked at. Have you checked the coolant level?

Loud fan noise? Actually yeah, now that you mention it, the car radiator fan has been pretty noisy lately. Coolant level looks fine though. What was the fix for yours?

Yep sounds like the same story! For me it was a dodgy speed sensor messing with the temperature control. It's best to get it hooked up to a diagnostic tool, but I'd bet that's your culprit. I wouldn't drive it too much with it overheating though, could cause more damage!

Turns out it was the speed sensor. It cost me around 250€ all in. Feeling relieved it's sorted!
