Seat Alhambra Terminal 15 Ignition Problem

Having a problem with my 2001 Seat Alhambra, gasoline engine. Getting an error about 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted'. Engine won't start. I'm thinking it's a power supply issue or a circuit break somewhere. Error memory suggests a defective cable or plug connection. Any ideas where to start looking?

Terminal 15 issue can be tricky. I had a similar problem with my Seat Leon. Check the fuse box first for any blown fuses. Also, inspect the battery terminal connections for corrosion or looseness. Have you checked those?

Fuse box looks fine, no blown fuses that I can see. Battery terminals are clean and tight. You mentioned a similar problem, was it also a complete no-start situation?

Yeah, complete no-start. Turned out to be a chafed wire in the ignition switch circuit. If the fuses and battery are good, it's likely a wiring issue. Best bet is to get it to a workshop with decent diagnostics.

Alright, thanks for the input. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Faulty cable in the ignition circuit. 95€ and it's running again.
