Seat Alhambra transmission issues

I haven't checked the transmission fluid level myself, to be honest. Where exactly is the transmission fluid reservoir located on the Alhambra? And is it something straightforward to check, or does it require special tools or procedures?

On my Volvo, the fluid level check required access to a dipstick located near the transmission. However, depending on your Alhambra's specific transmission model, it may not have a dipstick. It might involve removing a fill plug and checking if the fluid is level with the bottom of the opening. Given the symptoms and error code, and your lack of experience with the procedure, I would recommend taking it to a qualified workshop to avoid potential damage to the transmission. They can properly diagnose the oil level and the pressure switch.

Took the Alhambra to a workshop and they confirmed the low oil level in the gearbox was the culprit. They topped it up, replaced the transmission sensor, and cleared the error codes. Runs like new now. The transmission sensor replacement and labor ended up costing 365€ but worth it to have it sorted. Thanks for the advice.

I encountered a similar issue with my Volvo a while back. Illumination of the MIL and erratic shifting pointed to transmission issues. Have you checked the transmission fluid level? A low oil level can often trigger the pressure sensor fault, as the sensor detects insufficient pressure.
