Seat Alhambra Washer Fluid Warning

I'm a bit stumped. My 2000 Seat Alhambra with a gasoline engine is showing a 'washer fluid low' warning light on the dashboard. The windshield washer system isn't working either. I checked the error memory, and there's an error stored there. Could it really just be low on washer fluid? Seems too simple.

That sounds annoying. Is the fluid level actually low, or is it just the sensor acting up? Have you tried topping it off to see if that clears the error and gets the windshield cleaning working again? Could be a faulty fluid level sensor, I guess.

Good point about the sensor. How would I check if it's the sensor and not something else? Like, could it be the washer motor itself?

Well, if topping off the fluid doesn't fix it, and the washer motor still doesn't run, then yeah, the sensor or the motor are suspect. Honestly, without proper tools, diagnosing electrical issues can be tricky. Maybe it is best to have a workshop take a quick look.

Just to let you know, it was exactly as you said. I topped up the washer fluid, and the dashboard light went off. Cost me like 25€ for the fluid. Thanks for the help!
