Seat Alhambra Wiper Problem
Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2001 Seat Alhambra were non-functional despite the fuses being intact, and an error was stored in the memory. The issue was suspected to be either a bad wiper switch or faulty wiring. After a workshop inspection, the problem was traced to a faulty wiring harness leading to the wiper switch. Replacing the wiring harness resolved the wiper issue, as well as problems with the cruise control and turn signal.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the fuses and they look fine. Did you also have an error message stored? And did your cruise control or turn signal fail at the same time?

Yes, I also had an error message. If the fuse is okay and there's an error code, it's likely more than just a fuse. I can't say for sure about the cruise control, but it could be related as they sometimes share wiring. A workshop check is probably best.

The workshop traced it to a faulty wiring harness leading to the wiper switch. Replacement fixed everything, including the cruise control and turn signal. The repair set me back 95€, which was what I expected.

I had a similar issue with my Alhambra where the wipers just quit. Have you checked the wiper motor fuse? Could be a simple fix.
