Seat Altea automatic transmission shifting problem

I'm experiencing issues with my 2010 Seat Altea, gasoline engine. The automatic transmission exhibits implausible shifting behavior. The transmission indicator light comes on, and the automatic transmission doesn't shift as usual, sometimes going into emergency mode. Suspect worn-out transmission oil due to undervoltage. Thoughts?

Implausible shifting behavior, huh? I had a similar issue with my Altea. Was the transmission indicator light on?

Interesting. Did your automatic transmission also go into emergency mode? And what was the final solution?

Yes, the transmission went into emergency mode. The workshop diagnosed undervoltage which affected the car transmission and recommended a transmission flush and hydraulic fluid replacement. I would recommend going to a workshop.

Appreciate your input. Turns out the low voltage was indeed the culprit. A transmission flush and oil replacement did the trick. Total cost 240€. Transmission performance is back to normal.
