Seat Altea climate control malfunction
Summary of the thread
The climate control panel of a 2010 Seat Altea Diesel is malfunctioning, with heating issues and a non-functional AC. The problem is suspected to be due to a bad cable or plug, possibly involving a defective electrical connector. It is suggested to inspect the electrical connectors for damage or corrosion, but ultimately, a workshop visit resolved the issue by identifying and fixing the faulty connector, as indicated by the error memory.

Thanks for the response. Can you tell me where those electrical connectors are and how to inspect them? I want to check for damage or corrosion before I do anything else.

My problems were almost the same. Because the HVAC system can be complicated and there are stored errors, it might be best to see a technician. Bad electrical connectors can be hard to find without the right tools.

I'm very grateful for the help. A workshop visit fixed it. The error memory pointed to a defective electrical connector in the HVAC system. Total cost was 95€, which is what I expected. Thanks again for the insights.

I had something similar with my Altea, but the heating was only slightly affected. Did you check the electrical connectors on the control panel? A loose connection or corrosion could be the problem.
