Thank you for sharing. When you say 'wiring harness', do you mean the plug connection inside the door? Or is it somewhere else?

Yes, I mean the plug connection inside the door. In my case, it caused an electrical issue, affecting the door sensor's ability to communicate. Honestly, finding the exact car sensor responsible can be tricky without proper diagnostic tools. If you're unsure, perhaps the wisest course of action would be to visit a workshop.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took the Altea to a workshop, and the car sensor diagnosis confirmed a faulty contact signal due to a defective cable or plug connection. Repairing it cost 95€. Thanks for the insight.

That's a frustrating electrical issue to have! I also drive a Seat Altea, though I'm unsure about the build year. I had something similar happen with my vehicle doors. The central locking system went haywire because of a faulty door sensor. The symptoms were identical; I was unable to lock or unlock the car. Have you checked the wiring harness for any visible damage?
