That sounds familiar. I spent a lot of time trying to fix it before discovering it was the software. The garage ran onboard diagnostics that indicated an implausible signal from a control module. They recommended a vehicle software recalibration. I'd recommend booking it in, as it will save you a lot of trouble.

Took it to the workshop, they recalibrated the control module software. That seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for the assistance, it's really appreciated.

Electrical gremlins are the worst. I experienced something similar with my Altea. The navigation was dead, and the onboard diagnostics gave random errors. Have you checked the vehicle software version? A software change might be all that's needed.
