Seat Altea Fog Sensor Issue

Right, I'm at my wit's end with this! My 2015 Seat Altea, diesel engine, with 134560 km on the clock, is throwing up a fog sensor error. The air con refuses to switch on, the spray nozzles freeze solid when it's cold, and the mirror heating is dead. I'm guessing it's something to do with a dodgy cable or plug, maybe affecting the visibility or even needing sensor calibration? Anyone had similar issues?

That's a tricky one! If the air conditioning, spray nozzles, and mirror heating are all acting up at the same time, it does sound like an electrical issue could be the culprit. The humidity sensor playing up could definitely cause some weirdness with the climate control system.

Good shout on the fuses and relays! I'll definitely check those out. You mentioned the error memory – is there a way to get more specific info from that, or is it just a generic 'fog sensor fault' kind of thing?

Have you checked the basics, like fuses and relays, relating to the air conditioning and the mirror heating? It might be a long shot, but it's always worth a look before diving deeper. And is the error memory showing any other related codes alongside the fog sensor one? Just wondering if there might be something else connected to the same circuit that's throwing things off.

Just wanted to say your hunch was spot on! Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a dodgy connection to the fog sensor. They sorted it for 95€, and now everything's working as it should. Air con is blasting cold, the spray nozzles aren't frozen solid, and the mirror heating is toasty. Thanks a million for your help!
