Seat Altea fuel pump issue

My 2008 Seat Altea with a gasoline engine (196679 km) is giving me headaches. I suspect a fuel pump issue. The engine won't start sometimes, and when it does, it stalls at idle or runs rough. The check engine light is also on, and I've noticed higher fuel consumption. I scanned the error memory and it hints at fuel pump problems. Any ideas?

They can diagnose it properly and avoid chasing problems. It's often the simplest things that cause the biggest problems.

Took it to the shop and you were spot on. It was a defective connection to the fuel pump. New connector and some labor, and it's running perfectly again. Total cost was 95€, thanks for your help.
