Seat Altea Radio Reception Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Seat Altea is experiencing radio reception problems, with the infotainment system displaying an error and the audio system being non-functional. Where exactly is the antenna ground located on the Altea? And how would I check for corrosion?

On my Megane, it was near the antenna base, under the headliner. Visually inspect it for green or white buildup. Honestly, given it’s logged an error code and you're seeing multiple symptoms, it might be best to have a vehicle electronics specialist diagnose the antenna booster and wiring properly. I ended up going to a workshop in the end.

Confirmed defective antenna. Replaced it, including the antenna booster. Total cost 255€. Thanks for the input!

Strange. I had similar issues with my old Renault Megane. The car radio just died, and the infotainment system displayed some errors. Have you checked the antenna ground connection? It might be corroded.
