Seat Altea Turn Signal Issue

I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the turn signal on my 2005 Seat Altea diesel. There's an error stored in the error memory, and an error message is displayed in the speedometer, indicating a fault in the lighting system. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection on the component itself, but I've already tried bulb replacement with no success. The flasher relay seems fine. Any insights before I delve deeper?

I had something similar with my Altea. The indicator light was acting up, and I was getting errors. Did you check the bulb replacement? It might be a simple fix.

Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'acting up', what exactly do you mean? Same symptoms, like the error message in the speedometer and the lighting fault? And did bulb replacement solve the issue completely?

Yeah, same symptoms, the error message and the faulty light. Bulb replacement did temporarily work, but the problem came back. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They sorted it out properly; probably best to get yours checked professionally too.

Took it to the workshop. A faulty plug connection on the turn signal lamp was the problem. 95€ later and it's sorted. Thanks for the input!
