Seat Altea wiper problem

Alright, I'm officially stumped. My 2004 Seat Altea with a gasoline engine has decided it doesn't want to wipe anymore. The car wipers aren't working at all! I scanned for errors and it's showing something related to the wiper switch. I'm guessing it's a bad cable or connector, but I don't even know where to start looking. The turn signal works fine, so I doubt it's the whole steering column. Any ideas before I lose my mind?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Renault Clio a few years back. The wipers would just stop working randomly. Did you check the fuses? That was the first thing I looked at.

I did check the fuses, all good there. When you say 'similar issue', was it also the wiper switch itself? And how did you fix it?

Yeah, it ended up being a loose connection near the steering column. I didn't fix it myself, honestly. I took it to a workshop. They said it was a pain to get to. Might be worth having a professional take a look.

Took it to the shop. They confirmed it was a faulty connection in the steering column, like you suspected. 95€ later and my wipers are working perfectly again. Thanks for the help!
