Seat Arona AdBlue Tank Issue

My 2020 Seat Arona, diesel engine, is throwing an AdBlue tank empty error. Error message in the speedometer, error stored, and now it won't start. Suspect a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit. Anyone else had this? Estimate repair cost around 250€.

Oh no, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Arona. DEF fluid light came on, and then it just wouldn't start. Is your fuel efficiency also suffering? It felt like the injection system was all messed up. The dashboard alert was driving me crazy!

Fuel efficiency hasn't noticeably changed, but the dashboard alert is definitely annoying. Was it definitely the AdBlue tank output in your case too?

Yep, the garage confirmed it was the AdBlue tank output. Think of it like a clogged artery in a human, preventing the fluid from reaching the SCR catalyst! I'd get it checked professionally; a faulty injection system can cause bigger issues down the line.

Thanks for confirming. Took it to the workshop. Turns out the AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit was indeed defective. 250€ later and it's all sorted.
