Connections under the seats? What exactly am I looking for?

Yes, the yellow connectors. Those are for the airbags. As I said, I'm not certain, but it's worth checking before you spend money. If it's not that, and seeing as the airbag warning lamp is constantly on, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. Airbag deployment issues can be dangerous.

Appreciate the input. Took it to a local workshop. They diagnosed a faulty connector on an airbag sensor. 95€ repair. All good now.

I had a similar problem with my Seat Arona. The airbag warning light was constantly on. It could be a faulty airbag sensor, part of the restraint system. There was also an airbag recall some time ago, I don't know if it applies to your vehicle. Have you checked the connections under the seats? Sometimes they can become loose or corroded, triggering the airbag system fault. Check the plug connection too.
