Seat Arona Battery Sensor Issue

I'm having some trouble with my 2019 Seat Arona diesel engine. Lately, I've noticed the car battery seems weak when starting, and the lights sometimes flicker, almost like low voltage. I suspect it might be a faulty battery sensor, messing with the car battery readings. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any thoughts on what I should check before taking it to a mechanic?

Weak battery and flickering lights sound familiar! I had a similar problem with my Arona. Have you checked the battery sensor? It might be sending wrong data, causing the car to think the battery is low.

How did you figure out it was the battery sensor? Did you also notice any issues with the car's electronics, or was it just the weak starts and flickering lights? Did you check the battery health first? I've been a bit worried about the car battery itself, but maybe it's just the sensor...

The symptoms were pretty much the same: weak starts and those annoying flickering lights. I suspected the sensor because I've seen it mentioned in online forums before, and it seemed more likely than a completely failing car battery. Honestly, I didn't do much myself, I just took it to a workshop. They confirmed the battery sensor was defective and replaced it. Problem solved! I'd recommend getting it checked out professionally to be sure.

I took my Arona to a workshop. Diagnostics confirmed the battery sensor was faulty, causing low voltage. The battery itself was fine. They replaced the sensor, costing 315€. Now the car starts perfectly, and the lights are steady. Thanks again for your help!
