Seat Arona Blower Problem

I'm having a problem with my Seat Arona, built in 2017, with a diesel engine. The fresh air blower is not working at all. Basically, the blower motor doesn't seem to be doing anything, and I've got an error stored in the error memory, although I don't know the exact code. From what I've read, it might be the blower motor itself that is defective. It's getting quite annoying as the air circulation is non-existent, and the air conditioning is useless without it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Sounds like the cabin fan motor. Does it happen on all settings? Have you checked the fuse for the blower motor? That's the easiest thing to check first. The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. If the fuse is good, then yeah, it could be the motor itself.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuse, and it seems to be fine. It does not work on any setting. Do you know if it's a big job to replace the blower motor, and is there any way to check the electrical wiring before I go to a workshop?

Yeah, if the fuse is okay and it's not working on any speed setting, plus you have an error code, it's almost certainly the blower motor. Checking the wiring could be tricky without the right tools. You'd need a multimeter to check for voltage at the motor. Honestly, unless you're comfortable with electrical stuff, it might be best to take it to a workshop. Replacing the motor itself can be a bit fiddly depending on its location, some are easy to get to, others are buried deep. Given the symptoms and what you've checked, a defective blower motor sounds like the likely culprit.

Took it to the workshop. The blower motor was defective. They replaced it, and now the air conditioning is working perfectly again. The total cost was 365€ Thanks a lot for your help!
