Seat Arona Brake Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2021 Seat Arona experienced low brake fluid levels and unusual brake pedal feedback, suggesting potential brake pad wear. Despite no warning light, the symptoms pointed towards worn brake pads or a possible leak in the hydraulic system. After consulting, it was advised to inspect the brake system, leading to the discovery of worn brake pads, which were replaced, resolving the issue.

I have not observed any fluid accumulation near the wheels or master cylinder. The pedal feedback is odd; it requires more travel than usual before I feel adequate braking force. What are your thoughts?

The extended pedal travel and low fluid strongly indicate brake pad wear. While it's possible there is a leak somewhere in the hydraulic brakes system, worn pads are the most probable cause. I'd advise a workshop visit to have the brake system inspected. It would be best to avoid driving if possible.

I appreciate your input. I took the Arona to a garage and, as suspected, the brake pads were worn. Replacing them and a brake fluid flush cost 480€. The brake system is now functioning correctly.

Low brake fluid often points to worn brake pads. Have you inspected the brake lines for any visible leaks? Also, check the master cylinder. How does the pedal feel? Spongy?
