Seat Arona climate control problem

My 2017 Seat Arona with a gasoline engine is giving me trouble. The automatic climate control stopped working. I ran a scan and got an error related to the interior temperature sensor. The AC doesn't even switch on anymore. Mileage is at 138065 km. I'm suspecting a bad cable or plug connection to the sensor. Any thoughts?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Arona. The climate control went haywire. Have you checked the HVAC sensor? It could be a faulty connection. It's like when your home thermostat is not plugged in correctly, it won't regulate the temperature correctly.

HVAC sensor, okay. Where exactly is that located? And how involved is it to check the connection?

It's usually located behind the dashboard, near the center console. Honestly, checking it yourself can be a pain. Given the error code and your symptoms, it really sounds like the sensor connection. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. It will save you the headache, and it's likely a quick fix for them.

Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the cable/plug connection of the HVAC sensor as suspected. They fixed it for 95€. Climate control is working again. Thanks for the advice.
