Seat Arona Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A Seat Arona with a diesel engine experienced a cruise control failure, displaying an error message and storing a fault in the error memory. The initial suspicion was a faulty system, possibly due to a cable or plug connection. After checking the fuses, which were fine, it was suggested that the issue might be a defective connection in the steering wheel column. This was confirmed by a workshop, which identified and repaired a defective cable in the steering wheel column, resolving the problem.

I did check the fuses, but they all seem fine. Where exactly was the problem with your Opel Astra? Maybe it gives me a hint.

Yes, in my case with the Opel, it turned out to be a defective connection in the steering wheel column, where all the car electronics for the steering wheel are connected. Diagnosing car electronics can be tricky. If the fuses are okay, you'll probably have to visit a workshop.

Just wanted to say you were right. The workshop found a defective cable in the steering wheel column. 95€ and it's working again. Thanks a lot!

That's a bummer. I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra a while back. The cruise control just quit, and I got some weird error messages on the dashboard. Did you check the fuse box? It might be a blown fuse. Also, have you noticed any other electrical issues?
