Seat Arona Diesel Electrical Problems
Summary of the thread
The 2018 Seat Arona diesel was experiencing multiple electrical issues, with fault codes indicating overvoltage and a weak battery during startup. The core problem was suspected to be a deeply discharged or faulty battery, potentially causing voltage fluctuations. Suggestions included checking the alternator output and ground connections, but ultimately, replacing the battery resolved the issues, restoring normal function.

Thanks for the input! How can I check the alternator output myself? I don't have specialized equipment. Can I do it with only a multimeter?

Yes, a multimeter will work, but be careful! You're dealing with electricity. Given the symptoms, your lack of tools, and the possibility of alternator failure, I suggest taking it to a shop. Overvoltage can seriously harm sensitive electronics. It's better to be safe, don't you think?

The battery was the problem, just as we thought. It was heavily discharged and messing everything up. A replacement cost 290€, and now everything is working perfectly. Thanks for the assistance!

Overvoltage, huh? That sounds bad. With so many systems acting up, a weak battery could easily be the source, creating voltage dips and spikes. Have you looked at the alternator output? Is it charging properly, or is it potentially overcharging and damaging things? What about the ground connections? A poor ground can cause strange electrical problems. Just a few thoughts...
