Seat Arona diesel engine issue

I've got a 2020 Seat Arona diesel with about 168313 km on the clock. Recently, it's started jerking when accelerating, and the check engine light is now on. I scanned the error memory, and there's definitely an error stored. Besides the jerking, I've also noticed reduced engine power, it sometimes stalls at idle, runs pretty rough, and there's a strong exhaust smell. My initial thought is something related to the intake manifold, maybe a leak. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

That sounds very similar to an issue I had with my Arona. I also experienced jerking acceleration and the check engine light. Have you checked for a vacuum leak around the intake manifold or the manifold sensor? It might be worth a look.

When you say vacuum leak, where exactly should I be looking around the intake manifold? And how would I even know if I've found one?

For me the leak was pretty subtle, but the symptoms were very similar. I couldn't pinpoint it myself. Honestly, given all the symptoms you're describing, it might be best to get it checked by a workshop. They'll be able to properly diagnose a potential vacuum leak and confirm if it's the intake manifold.

The workshop confirmed the intake manifold was leaking due to scorching, as suspected. The bill was 1180€. Thanks for the help.
