Seat Arona Diesel Oil Pressure Warning

I'm stressed. My Seat Arona (2017, diesel) is showing warning lights. The oil pressure warning lamp is on, and there's a message in the speedometer. I'm guessing it's something to do with the engine oil. Could it be oil contamination? Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! I had something similar with my Seat Ibiza with the same warning lights. Have you checked the engine oil level? It could be an oil leak somewhere. I wouldn't add any oil additives until you know what's happening.

An oil leak? Where should I look? I'm not really a mechanic. And what do you mean by 'random oil additives'? What kind aren't random?

Look for any obvious signs of oil around the engine, especially near the oil filter and the drain plug. As for additives, I just mean don't pour anything in without knowing why. In my case, it was a minor oil leak and exceeding the service interval that triggered the light. It's best to get it checked at a workshop; they'll know for sure.

Just to let you know, I went to the workshop and it turned out the maintenance interval was exceeded, leading to oil contamination. An oil change fixed it. Cost 165€. Thanks for the help!
