How did you diagnose that Did you get any error codes, or was it just the symptoms

No error codes at first, just those same symptoms you described. Eventually, the engine light came on. Honestly, I'd get it checked professionally. It's a pain to get to, and you don't want to mess up the airflow control system.

Appreciate the help. Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the intake manifold flap control. Cost me 465€ to get it sorted, but the car's running smoothly again.

Sounds familiar I had similar problems with my Arona. Check the intake manifold flap control, that's where my airflow control issue was.
