Seat Arona Diesel Water Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2019 Seat Arona diesel. The check engine light is on, and the error memory says there's a water sensor problem. The engine is running rough. It's done 68233 km. I think it might just be a bad cable or plug on the sensor. Has anyone else seen this?

I had something similar with my Arona, but mine's petrol. Check Engine light and rough running. Have you tried testing the sensor or looked for corrosion on the water sensor connector?

Sensor testing with a multimeter? I haven't done that yet. Where's the water sensor? Is the connector easy to reach?

Yes, sensor testing with a multimeter. I didn't do it myself; I took it to a shop. They found an electrical fault in the connector and fixed it fast. If you're not comfortable with electrical work, I'd suggest a professional. It could save time and problems.

The problem is solved. It was a bad connection, like you thought. The garage charged 95€ to fix it. Thanks for the help.
