Seat Arona Heating Issue

My 2021 Seat Arona with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches! The car heating is barely working, blowing lukewarm air at best. The error memory shows a defective water valve. Mileage is at 167889 km. Could it be a cable or plug issue? I'm dreading a heater core replacement.

Sounds similar to a problem I had with my Arona. The heater was blowing cold air, and there was an error code. Have you checked for any coolant leaks?

Coolant level seems fine. Where exactly was the problem in your Arona? Was it a valve blockage or something else?

Mine wasn't a valve blockage exactly, more like a faulty connection. The diagnostic pointed to the water valve, but the actual problem was a loose plug on the valve. I'd suggest having a mechanic check the wiring before replacing the whole valve. It's worth a look before spending big money.

You were spot on! I took it to the workshop, and they checked the water valve. The cable was indeed loose. They fixed it, and the heating is working perfectly now. Cost me 95€. Thanks a lot for your help!
