I'm experiencing a problem with my 2021 Seat Arona. It has a gasoline engine. The check engine light is illuminated, and the error memory indicates a NOx sensor failure. I've also noticed a slight exhaust leak. I suspect the cable or plug connection of the component is defective. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue

Whoa, NOx sensor failure on a newer car That's rough I had a similar issue with my old BMW, though it was related to the catalytic converter in my case. Check engine light and all that jazz. Is the air-fuel ratio acting up too Could be a sign that the pollution control system isn't working as it should. Have you looked at the sensor wiring Maybe a rodent chewed on it It's probably something simple like that, I hope.

Yeah, the cable that plugs directly into the NOx sensor. Give it a wiggle, see if anything changes. Honestly, NOx sensors can be finicky on any car, not just diesel engines. But if you are smelling exhaust I would take it to a workshop before you damage your catalytic converter.
