Seat Arona Radio Reception Problem

My Seat Arona (2017) with a gasoline engine, currently at 109428 km, is having radio reception issues. The infotainment system displays an error message, and the audio system doesn't work at all when trying to use the car radio. I scanned it and it shows an error in the error memory related to the antenna. I'm suspecting a defective antenna or maybe an antenna booster issue. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Arona. The error message was driving me crazy! Do you know if the antenna ground is okay? I would check the signal amplifier too. Is the signal strength consistently bad, or does it come and go?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the antenna ground or signal amplifier specifically. How would I go about checking those? And the signal strength is consistently weak, it doesn't really come and go.

Okay, if the signal is consistently weak, it points even more to an antenna issue. Honestly, checking the ground and amplifier can be a bit fiddly without the right tools. Given that you're getting an error code and the signal is consistently bad, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose if it's the antenna itself or something else related to the car radio. It could save you time and potential further issues.

Took it to the shop as suggested. They confirmed the antenna was faulty. New antenna and installation cost 255€. Radio signal is perfect again. Thanks for the advice.
