Seat Arona ride comfort issue

I've got a 2023 Seat Arona with a gasoline engine, and it's driving me nuts! The ride is bumpier than a gravel road. There's a warning light glaring at me, and the error memory is screaming about a 'damping adjustment fault'. It could be a defective cable or plug connection to one of the car damping components. Has anyone dealt with this suspension tuning issue before? The car handling feels off too!

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Arona. Did the error code point to one of the damping control modules? It definitely affected the ride comfort. Damping control faults are tricky but not uncommon. I'd check the basics first.

Yeah, it's definitely impacting the ride comfort! The error memory says something about a 'damping adjustment fault'. What do you mean by 'check the basics'? Do you remember the specific error code you got?

Yes, the error code was related to the damping control module on the front axle. By 'check the basics', I mean inspect the wiring and connectors going to the dampers. It's often just a loose or corroded connection. But honestly, with a warning light and a stored error, you're probably better off taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and clear the fault codes. Could save you some headaches.

Thanks for your help! I took it to a local garage; they checked the error memory and found the same fault code you mentioned. Turns out, it was indeed a faulty connection to the damper. They cleaned the plug and secured the cable, cleared the error, and now the warning light is gone and the ride is smooth again! Cost me 95€. Cheers!
