Seat Arona Sunroof Error

My 2019 Seat Arona with a diesel engine is throwing a "sunroof not initialized" error. The sunblind is stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close. The mileage is at 146116 km. I suspect it's related to some recent coding changes. Any ideas on sunroof troubleshooting before I start tearing apart the sunroof mechanism?

I had a similar issue with my Arona's sunroof. The blind got stuck, and I couldn't operate the glass panel at all. Really annoying. Did this happen after any work on the car's electronics?

Interesting. Yes, there was some coding done recently. What exactly was the fix in your case? Was it a simple sunroof reset, or something more involved with the sunroof mechanism?

Mine was the coding too. I tried a few things myself, but honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They did some kind of sunroof reset procedure with their diagnostic tools. I remember them mentioning something about re-initializing the sunroof operation. It wasn't a mechanical issue, thankfully.

Appreciate the insight. Turns out it was indeed related to some coding changes made previously. A sunroof reset at the workshop sorted it out. Cost me 75€. All working now.
