Seat Arona wiper issue

My 2017 Seat Arona with a diesel engine is giving me trouble. The windshield wipers have stopped working! I've scanned for errors, and there's something stored related to the wiper system. I've read it's likely a cable or plug connection issue. Has anyone experienced this before I spend money on a new wiper switch or motor?

I had a similar issue with my Arona! Did the wipers just stop? Do you have a rain sensor? I was getting strange errors related to that. Check the wiring harness where it connects to the wiper switch first. It could be a loose connection or corrosion. Have you been working on the cruise control stalk? Sometimes those wires get crossed during DIY fixes.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, it has a rain sensor. Where is the best place to start looking for that connection? I'm not very familiar with the layout under the steering wheel.

Rain sensor issues are often linked. Tracing the wiring harness is a pain. If you're not comfortable with it, a workshop visit might be worth it. They can diagnose it properly. I'd bet it's the wiring or a bad plug. You could save yourself the trouble and potential damage from poking around.

Just to let you know, the workshop found a bad connection in the wiring harness, like you thought! Cost me 95€ and the wipers are fixed. Thanks for the assist!
