Summary of the thread
A 2002 Seat Arosa with a diesel engine experienced a cruise control malfunction, with an error stored in the error memory. The initial suspicion was a defective cable or plug connection. Interesting. Where exactly was the blown fuse located? And did your dashboard light or brake light also act up?

Nah, no dashboard light or brake light weirdness. But yeah, sounds very similar. In the end I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it quickly.

Thanks for the insights. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection as suspected. 95€ later and the cruise control is working again. Error memory is clear too.

Cruise control issues are the worst! I had a similar thing happen on my Arosa. Did you check the fuse box? Maybe a blown fuse is the culprit?
