Seat Arosa Diesel Engine Stalling and Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Seat Arosa diesel was experiencing engine stalling, reduced power, and a check engine light. The issue was suspected to be a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor, supported by an error code indicating an implausible signal from the sensor. After confirming the diagnosis and replacing the sensor, the car's performance improved significantly.

The fuel filter was changed about 10000 km ago. The error code indicates an implausible signal from the fuel rail pressure sensor. Should I check anything else before replacing the sensor?

Given the error code and symptoms, a defective pressure sensor is likely. Check the wiring, but it's probably the sensor itself. I suggest taking the car to a workshop.

It was the rail pressure sensor. The repair cost 240€. The car runs great now. Thanks for the help.

A faulty rail pressure sensor on a 2004 diesel Arosa is plausible. Was the fuel filter recently changed? What error code did you get when the check engine light came on?
