Sounds like a sensor fault alright. The malfunction indicator lamp (that's the check engine light) is a pain. Have you checked the wiring to the water sensor? Sometimes it's just a loose plug.

Yeah, I had a quick look, but I'm no auto electronics whiz. Where exactly should I be looking for the water sensor plug? And what am I looking for, exactly? Like, corrosion? Loose wires?

Okay, if your reader is pointing at a connection issue, and you're not comfortable digging too deep into the auto electronics, it might be worth getting a garage to take a peek. Electrical faults can be tricky. At least you have a clue what's up.

Just to let you know, I got it sorted. It was a dodgy connection. The garage cleaned it up and all the error codes are gone. Cost me 95€, which I reckon is alright. Thanks for the help.
