Summary of the thread
A 2000 Seat Arosa experienced engine power loss and displayed an error code, leading to concerns about a potential ECU problem. Battery and connections seem fine. What exactly was the issue with your Clio? Was it also related to vehicle electronics? I'm just trying to understand what to expect and if it is actually an ECU repair that is needed.

Yeah, my Clio's issue was definitely vehicle electronics related. After a lot of troubleshooting, it turned out to be a faulty sensor that was feeding incorrect data to the ECU. It caused similar symptoms – limp mode and error codes. If you've checked the basics, it might be time to take it to a workshop for proper car diagnostics. ECU problems can be complex, and sometimes ECU repair is the only option.

I got it sorted. It was a faulty main relay causing the ECU problems. Repair was 120€ Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a pain! I had similar ECU problems with my old Renault Clio. Reduced power and error codes showing up. Have you checked the usual suspects like battery voltage and connections? Sometimes it's the simple things. Car diagnostics can be tricky, so don't rule anything out at this stage.
