Seat Arosa mirror heating not working
Summary of the thread
The 2002 Seat Arosa's mirror heating issue is likely due to a faulty cable or plug connection, as indicated by an error code related to the mirror heater element. A common cause is corrosion or a broken wire within the mirror housing. The suggested solution is to inspect the wiring and plug inside the mirror housing, or to consult a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair. Ultimately, a broken wire was identified and repaired, resolving the heating issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the plug you're talking about? Is it difficult to get to? And the fuse, which one is for the mirrors?

Yep, same symptoms here. The plug is inside the mirror housing itself. You can usually pop the mirror glass out carefully to get to it, but honestly, if you're not comfortable doing that, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and fix any broken wires. As for the fuse, I can't tell you which one exactly, sorry. Just go to a workshop, it is probably a defective cable or plug connection of the component.

Thanks a bunch for the info. I went to the workshop as you suggested and they found a broken wire in the mirror housing. 95€ later and I can finally see clearly in cold weather again!

Sounds like a similar problem I had with my Arosa! The heater element in the side mirror wasn't working. First thing to check is the wiring and the plug that connects to the mirror. It's a common issue, especially with car electronics getting older. Sometimes the connection gets corroded or a wire breaks. This can also cause an error code to be stored in the memory. Did you check the fuse?
