Seat Arosa rough running and misfire errors
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Seat Arosa with a gasoline engine was experiencing rough running and engine misfire errors, leading to frustration. The initial suspicion was on fuel injectors, the fuel pump, oxygen sensor, or ignition coil. However, a suggestion to check for exhaust system leaks proved accurate, as a leak near the manifold was identified and repaired, resolving the issue.

Really? A leak in the exhaust system? I wouldn't have thought of that. Where exactly was the leak in your case? And did you also have the check engine light on?

Yep, check engine light was on for me too. The leak was near the manifold, I think. It's like trying to run with a hole in your shoe – the engine can't breathe right. Honestly, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact location and get it sorted properly.

Took it to the workshop and you were right. There was a leak in the exhaust system, just as you said. They fixed it, costing 265€. The car is running smoothly again. Thanks for the help.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Seat Ibiza (same gasoline engine). Check the exhaust system for leaks. That was the culprit for me.
