Seat Arosa seat heater problem

Hi I have a problem with my Seat Arosa from 2003 with a gasoline engine. The seat heater isn't getting warm at all. I scanned the error memory, and there's an error stored related to the seat heating. I'm guessing it's the seat heating mat itself. Anyone else had this issue?

I had a similar problem with my Arosa. Does the error memory specifically mention the heating element or thermal sensor? Maybe check the connection under the seat first?

Thanks for the suggestion. Where exactly is the connection located under the seat? And is there a way to test the thermal sensor without special equipment?

The connection is usually clipped to the seat frame underneath the seat cushion. As for testing the thermal sensor without equipment, I'm not sure. I didn't try that myself. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Is it really worth messing around with electrics when you don't know what you're doing?

Thanks for the help I appreciate it! Ended up taking it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out the seat heating mat was indeed defective. They replaced it, and now my bum is toasty again. Cost me 390€, but worth it for the winter months.
