Seat Ateca AdBlue issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Seat Ateca with a diesel engine experienced an issue where the AdBlue tank appeared empty, leading to an error message and the engine failing to start. The problem was traced to a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit. The solution involved replacing the faulty AdBlue output, which resolved the issue.

Yes, the workshop confirmed the AdBlue output was faulty. I'd suggest getting it checked to confirm. Can I help in any other way?

Yes, it was a DEF fluid alert. I haven't paid attention to fuel efficiency lately, so I can't say. How did you fix your Ateca? Was it the SCR catalyst?

You were right! The workshop confirmed it was the AdBlue output. Replacement fixed the issue, cost around 250€.

I had something similar with my Ateca. Was it a diesel exhaust fluid alert? Did you notice any fuel efficiency changes before it wouldn't start?
