Interesting. When you say 'similar issue,' did your serpentine belt handover stop working completely as well? Was it also the belt tensioner, or something else like the timing belt itself?

Yeah, the belt handover stopped completely. The garage confirmed it was a defective belt tensioner. If the symptoms are the same, I would get it checked by a workshop, just to be sure.

Thanks for the insight. Just got it back from the workshop, and you nailed it. Defective belt handover was the culprit. Cost me 455€ including parts and labor. At least the engine performance is back to normal.

Sounds like a dodgy belt tensioner. I had a similar issue with my Seat Ateca. Is your idler pulley making any weird noises?
