Seat Ateca Cruise Control Failure

Okay, I'm officially pulling my hair out. My 2020 Seat Ateca with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The cruise control has completely given up. Doesn't work at all. I've checked the obvious stuff – speed sensor seems fine, brake lights are working, and I even took a peek at the fuses. Could it be something with the steering wheel controls or maybe the throttle position sensor? I'm seeing some chatter online about cable or plug connections failing but I'm not sure where to even start looking. This is so frustrating.

I have a Seat Ateca as well. I experienced something similar not long ago. Cruise control just stopped working. Did you check for any error messages in the system's memory? Also, does the problem occur consistently, or is it intermittent?

Yes, there is an error stored, I forgot to mention. Sorry. The error memory mentions something about a faulty signal. It's consistent; it never works. When yours broke, was there an error message stored too? What was the exact issue?

Yes, a fault code was stored in the error memory. The issue traced back to a defective cable/plug connection. It is probably best to have it checked at the workshop.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective cable/plug connection. They located and fixed it for 95€. Cruise control is working perfectly again. Thanks a million for your help.
