Yes, there was an error stored in the error memory, also an error message in the speedometer, and a warning light in the speedometer. Do you recall what the diagnostic codes pointed to in your case? Was it also related to automotive electronics or a specific control module?

In my case, it was indeed a problem with the emergency call system's control module and some related automotive electronics. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They can check the cable connections and the module itself.

I had the car checked. It turned out to be a defective plug connection, as suspected. The repair cost 95€. Now everything is working properly again.

That sounds frustrating. I have a Seat Ateca too and I had a similar problem a while back. The error message kept popping up, and the emergency call system was not working. Did you check the diagnostic codes with a code reader? It might give you a better idea of what's going on.
